Harley Benton MR-Modern LH SB

I received it about 3 months ago. It was my first Harley Been guitar so I did a lot of research beforehand because I don't know anyone personally that has a Harley Benton. I did my research mainly through contacting people on YouTube who I respected as guitar players and asking them what they thought and then I felt pretty confident. And just like most people who deal with Thomann., I was really impressed with the customer service as well as how the guitar came packaged. To be honest, I almost sent the guitar back when I first got it, because there were some minor flaws like the pick guard had been cut out incompletely- I had to pull plastic chips and dust -
but nothing ridiculous and nothing major but the guitar ( maybe because the stainless steel frets I'm not sure) sounded kind of weird to me and off for a little while, although it was set up well the neck was perfectly straight Etc., and I live in the Great Lakes region of the U.S. so it came from a very similar climate to what I live in, but after about a week or two it started to like play itself in.. * Now, I love the guitar, I just wish I had gotten the classic because of the P90s Etc. I'm a lefty btw, and if i were to get another one, I would probably get a right-handed one and string it upside down because I like that grungy kind of Kurt Cobain sound... Still for the amount of money I paid for that guitar it is excellent craftsmanship!

bought this guitar because of it's features, price, look (wish there was more choice in colour as opposed to 3 tone sunburst) there were some flaws. the bridge pickup route is off-centered by at least 5mm, does not sound like much, but that means the pickup poles are not in line with the strings, they are all off to the side by that half centimeter, and only way to remedy it is to enlarge the route on the opposite side and re-seat the pickup. Also the screws holding the bridge pickup were stripped, would be a good idea if whoever puts these guitars together use the right size screwdriver. the neck pickup is mounted to be askew to the strings but even that was a little off, but not by much. might have to change the wirering since the middle position using single coil is not hum-cancelling. besides that all is very, very good (forgot, the trust rod cover on the headstock fell off when i started playing the guitar, the screw seemed to have snapped since there was no head on the screw holding the plate down, another reason i believe whomever put put this guitar together is not familiar to using the tools, or even the right tools to do the job. most of these things are not noticed during inspections because honestly they are not noticable unless looked for. but I do love the feel of the neck, i'ts a little wider then most but feels very natural. it is a heavy guitar but it sits well on your body having no neckdive. besides those flaws I stated, I am happy with this guitar.
