I use it on a hercules stand to hold a piccolo trumpet, since the bell is really similar to a clarinet bell. The coating material makes it reliable, it won't ever scratch your instrument.
Used also for flute, it fits perfectly and feels really sturdy and secure.

Comme ce n'est écrit dans aucun des descriptifs rencontrés, je signale que ce support s'adapte au stand DS561B pour basson/clarinette basse. Il suffit d'enlever les petits caoutchoucs sur les pieds latéraux du stand pour accéder aux pas de vis. Ce dispositif me permet d'avoir, sur un seul stand, ma clarinette basse, ma clarinette soprano sib et ma clarinette sopranino mib (grâce au diamètre destiné aux flûtes).
Grande stabilité de l'ensemble, robuste, pratique, donc excellent produit pour un prix modique...
