Got this today for my new ipad which i use for solo backing track and guitar gigs. Good little stand and unobtrusive on stage, un like the book i used to use with all my lyrics in. Was a bit disapointed to find that the clamp will not adjust to a slighly larger size to fit the ipad in its case, but thats my mistake... i´ll buy the K&M 19742 which will just screw on the top and fit the case too.

The K&M 19772 iPad Tripod, is a very well built quality product.
Essentially K&M have taken a standard Microphone Stand and added a removable iPad Holder to the top.
I play 99% of my music now from my iPad, this saves me having to print out the music and with such brilliant apps as ForScore available from the Apple App Store, when I play in Trios and Quartets all of my fellow players have their iPads and we don't have to use any printed music.
So the Good point of this stand are really all about the Microphone Stand - it folds and unfolds really easily and the thumb screws to raise and lower the middle sections are a good size to be able to apply some pressure but not too much to hold the sections in place.
K&M have done a really good job in the design of the connecting piece behind the iPad holder, which screws onto the top of the Microphone Stand. This is a really well built piece of engineering. Unfortunately the actual plastic iPad holder is not the greatest in my opinion.
This works on a clip in basis and does not allow for any back case to be in place on the iPad. So if like me you have a protective back on your iPad this needs to be removed everytime you use the Stand.
Having said that however, once the iPad is in place the holder rotates to give you both portrait and landscape modes and holds the iPad very securely.
My only other issue with the stand is that when folded down, it is still fairly long. and with the iPad holder attached, pretty bulky, although K&M probably imaged you would remove the iPad holder each time.
All in all I would recommend this stand.

Still going very strong.
Had this stand for 2 years now. Hasn't failed me yet! The mould has kept it's shape and still holds the iPad securely and I have no doubt it'll keep it in place. The stand still feels sturdy and washers and knobs all intact.
Definitely been my life saver on a few gigs.

Good stand but doesn’t fit my iPad Pro
iPad Pro 11” generation, doesn’t fit. Waisted my money and need to buy another iPad holder for the top of the stand. Very disappointed.

iPad stand
Just to be aware you have to stretch and mould the clasp to fit your iPad so it’s not completely secure but it works fine. There is a slightly more expensive option that might be better.

This is a quality stand
This stands offers 5 years warranty and it is solid as a rock and the plastics too.
the only bad thing is when you try to turn your ipad from portrait to landscape is quite like a puzzle, but when you find the way I am sure you will be satisfied.
Unfortunately I have to sent this product back because it does not fit my Ipad 2017.

Perfect Ipad holder
Easy to mount, use and all that comes with it. Its also very stable. If you have the money to buy, just do it. You wont regret it.

K&M 19772 iPad Tripod
I bought this to hold my ipad when on stage, it's a great item and holds the tablet very securly.
I have since switched to android tablets but do miss this holder as it realyy was strong and reliable.
No neagatives.
