Nach dem Umbau glaubte ich einen neuen J-Bass zu besitzen!
Allerdings gestaltete sich der Umbau meines Squire Jazz Bass S/N ICS10148XXX etwas schwieriger als gedacht.
1. die Abstände der Bohrungen passen perfekt, aber die Durchmesser Bohrungen für die Podis in der Kontroll-Platte sind mit 9,0 mm Durchmesser zu klein, die ObsidianWire Podis haben 10,0 mm, d. H. Aufbohren! (Ist aber eigentlich kein Problem, einfach auf eine Holzplatte schrauben und bohren, fertig)
2. Das Gehäuse der Podis ist mit etwa 28 mm Durchmesser etwa 2 mm größer, somit musste ich tatsächlich die Ausfräsung am Body mit einem Stechbeitel vergrößern.
3. Die original Podi-Knöpfe des Squires passen nicht auf den Schaft, somit sind bei einem Wechsel original Fender Jazz Bass Knöpfe fällig, die sollten mit beim Kauf vorgeschlagen werden
Fazit: geiles Teil, Verkabelung ist super easy, und so hat man jetzt mal in 5 Minuten die PickUps gewechselt - kein lästiges Löten mehr
