- Improvement compared to the conventional clarinet barrel: the Zoom barrel has a continuous bore in every length setting and is not interrupted in the outer part either
- An adjustment ring (with scale) makes tuning settings precisely adjustable and visible
- Turning the adjusting ring allows the barrel to move apart without changing the axial alignment
- The sound characteristics are improved by the barrel
