I bought this boompole for Zoom shotgun capsule. I hope for lightweight solution. I try to use it for more heavier microphones. It holds but a lot of noise come in from this boompole - not usable for booing at all. Locking mechanismus failed after few shooting. Money well wasted :(
An excellent pole.
I bought this boom pole to have as a lighter option to the longer one i already own. The difference in weight is massive. This boom pole is much more manageable than a full sized one. There is a soft grip on it which helps for comfort and for using in cold temperatures as it doesn't get cold on your hands.
There are 3 sections to this pole. There is the base which you hold and 2 extending sections. At full length with a mic at the end, it is more than enough to cover most shooting scenarios. I have found that i am using my longer pole less and less since i bought this one because i rarely need to extend longer than the length of the micro boom pole.
Its great for indoor shooting and provides a more comfortable and lighter alternative to the average pole. It is well made and very sturdy and the locking mechanism is simple and effective.
I would recommend this pole to anybody looking to take some weight off their hands while shooting. It's fantastic.
Among the cheapest boompoles
It's a decent pole, it's light, short, and simple. The locking mechanism will lock up (or stop working correctly) after a while, so be aware this won't be a lifelong buy. The length is enough only for basic booming operation, mostly indoors. It's fairly light though, which is a great thing. It's also very cheap, so good for starting out or for seldom work. If you're looking for something more serious though, this is not it.
