High-quality audio recording from anywhere
The VideoMic Go II and the Rycote shockmount together weigh just 89g, making the combined unit easy to transport and ideal for compact cameras and mobile devices. The interference tube used in the VideoMic NTG microphone has already impressed many users. In addition to a high directivity to reduce background noise, it offers a well-balanced sound, suitable for a wide range of recording situations. Furthermore, the foam wind shield included in the delivery enables noise-free outdoor recordings and also reduces plosives.
The optimum tool for voice content
The Rode VideoMic Go II is an ultra-lightweight directional microphone for creating content with cameras, portable recorders, and mobile devices. It enables you to record high-quality audio content at a comparatively low price, making it a good choice for both beginners and advanced users. Of course, the VideoMic Go II is compatible with Rode's Connect, Reporter, and Central apps. These provide an even wider set of features and can be used for recordings with all devices. This makes the VideoMic Go II ideal for videos, podcasts, interviews, and streaming, for example.
Founded in Sydney, Australia in 1990, Rode is a specialist in high-quality studio microphones. With its very first in-house, completely Australian-built model, the NT2 large-diaphragm microphone, the company created a classic which is still produced in its current and enhanced version, the NT2-A. An extensive range of studio and live microphones has also been added, regularly updated, and expanded over the years. These new additions include a variety of professional microphones which are designed for video and mobile applications and can be connected directly to SLR cameras or smartphones.
Up to many challenges
The Rode VideoMic Go II masters a wide range of challenges and is an excellent addition to compact cameras and other mobile devices. The "VideoMic" can be easily mounted directly on the camera thanks to the integrated hot shoe fixture provided by the Rycote shock mount. An additional 3/8" thread also allows mounting on a boom, pistol grip, or standard microphone stand. The USB output also allows it to be used as a desktop USB microphone for podcasts or streaming on a computer, and it can also be connected to smartphones or tablets in the same way. Especially noteworthy is that the TRS output in USB mode serves as a headphone output for convenient monitoring.
