Not good..
It DOES look amazing on a Shure handheld..
And I was very proud of that look.
But that's the only plus on this product for me.
Because as soon as I tried this head, I was very disappointed.
The sound isn't even close to what they promise you in the YouTube video's.
The mids are very shrill.
The advertising promised that there is no feedback or bleed.
But the moment I turned it on, I had feedback on the lows right away.
Also,, It's a lie that it would sound honest and clear.
This product was a huge disappointment.
The handling noise is acceptable.
I tried for 2 days to get it to sound, the way I want it to sound.
Was a pain in the ass.
But when I switched back to my Shure Beta 58A cartridge, the Beta 58a sounded 10 times better:
The Beta58a has much more body(powerfull and warm sound) than this product.
If you want the V7 to same body, you'll need to turn up the lows, but then the feedback is there again.
I also got my answer to, why I couldn't find a "V7 vs B58a" video..
The Beta 58a beats it with minimal effort.
Okay, the B58a can sound a bit more muddy on it's lows..
But when you sing alot with it, it sounds amazing, because you get used to it.
And you can do alot by playing with frequencies.
In my opinion, the Beta58a sounds even better than the overrated SM56.
I don't get why there are so many good reviews on the V7..
To me it sounds like a very cheap version of a Beta78a.
I would never recommend a B87a either.
Maybe I'll try a KSM9 someday..
