Good when wired, unuseable on BT && works on Linux :)

A USB DI is infinitely superior to using the crap minijack output of your laptop for performances, and here the Sirus USB-DI does it for you, no more mess of whatever adapters before going into a DI box anyway - also, I use arch btw and it works straightforwardly.

Where it falls completely, utterly on its face is with the quality of the BT interface; it is just unusable, even as background music. I couldn't quite believe my ears so I switched around 2 laptops and my cellphone, each time comparing Wired vs. BT. I have other BT devices around, and was able to check that my BT output was clean, the sound rendered on the Sirus output was awful, while absolutely OK when wired.

One way of testing this was to use a little JBL speaker that features both a minijack input, (wired from the Sirus headphone output), and a BT input ; connecting my phone to the Sirus BT provided very poor sound quality while connecting my phone straight to the JBL provided good sound. With the laptops it was just a matter of switching around between Wired/BT and it's the same, unfortunately.

Buy it for the DI, do it, but forget the BT.

Great product, really good build quality and good sound quality. When using Bluetooth it can sometimes boost low frequency but for testing equipment and listening to music while working it's really good.

These units are a must when running stages for acts that use backing music. It is much more practical, reliable, and offers better quality audio than running cables from a headphone jack from a phone, tablet or laptop etc.
The units have a very impressive range, and very good battery life from a single charge.

Great for bluetooth but will not work connected to computer USB C output.

Much better than buying a dongle to get audio out of new devices!
Bluetooth connection is good at reasonable distances but don't expect to connect to anything onstage if at monitor position for example.
Connects as audio output and charges from computers on any old rectangular usb 2 or 3 output but will not work when connected to USB C type computer output which is very weird because that is what is on the device itself.
Sound on bluetooth is good enough for interval playback and gear testing.
