Das Vandoren V5 Altsaxophonmundstück A27 ist meiner Meinung nach ein sehr gutes und erschwingliches Kautschuk Mundstück, welches besonders für die Stilrichtung der klassischen Musik geeignet ist. Dies gibt auch der Hersteller Vandoren selber an.

Es ist ordentlich verarbeitet und ermöglicht in Verbindung mit einem passenden Blatt eine genaue und kontrollierte Tonbildung. Diese klanglichen Eigenschaften werden durch die runde Kammer, die kurze Bahnlänge und die geringe Bahnöffnung ermöglicht.

Für Jazz und modernere Musik ist dieses Mundstück meiner Meinung nur bedingt geeignet, wobei ich auch schon Saxophonisten, allerdings mit klassischen Wurzeln, gehört habe, die dieses Mundstück für diese Stilrichtungen, mit einem angenhemen und schönen Klang, verwendet haben.
