Mixing Tool
I use MixCube as a mono monitor. It has been setup as a middle-mono speaker, between my Dynaudio BM6. Both speakers go through IK Multimedia ARC2. MixCube looks great. Build quality is amazing. I'm still getting used to mixing in mono. The speakers sound as they supposed to, middrangy, with most of bass energy around 100-200Hz which is good for setting bass levels for media such as iPods, TV, laptops etc. They are really helpful for setting levels. I start the mix with MixCube, set mix levels, and then regarding levels I add compression and basic eq. Then I switch to main monitors for additional adjustments. At the end I check balance on MixCube again and mono compatibility. For me MixCube is essential tool for better mixes.

Excellent for Reference
I use this product as a reference monitor, I only have one and use it in Mono to check the mid-range of my mixes. These would not be suitable as your only monitors, but when used to check mixes they are incredible at highlighting mid-range issues, vocal and reverb levels and how the bass will translate on smaller systems. For the purpose of referencing these are literally incredible. They are the classic 'bad' speaker check that makes you work really hard to get a good sound. However, once I earned the idiosyncrasies of the mix cubes and got my mixes sounding clean and clear on them, the translation to different systems was solid. An incredibly useful tool when used in the right way. I am so happy with my purchase.

Multipurpose Goodness
Whether you need 2 little speakers for your laptop producer's desk, or you need a good single speaker to monitor Mono in your studio, the Mixcube is the 2Go product. Hands Down.

Delighted!
As a mono reference speaker this little cube is absolutely perfect. At first the immediate thought is that it doesn't sound sound as good as my main monitor speakers, but after some usage and listening I found the benefits were huge. It made such a difference to my recent album mixdown and exposed lots of problem areas.

Does what it's supposed to.
I have 1 of these as a mono/"real-world" check and it does just that, cutting the very lows and very highs helps to get a better idea of what's happening in the arguably "most important" part of the mix. Every now and then I miss having a second one, so consider carefully if you need only one or two.

Metal bracket holding the woofer had dent in it. The rubber surround on the woofer was deformed. Very shitty quality control. Better look for something else. I am even struggling to return it now.

Focuses on the meat & potatoes
Got myself one unit, I throw a S1 Imager on the master chain.
It really helps me combat ear fatigue.
No unwanted filtering, resonance, rattling or distortion.
Really enjoy the process of getting to know this unit better.

Perfect for checking mono compatibility and understanding mid-range frequencies in your mix!
Have 1pcs, use it in mono - for phase issues detecting, mono compatibility and its great for using in mixing and mastering as it will reveal details which you cannot hear on normal 2-way monitors... Its professional product for serious use in mixing and mastering. If your mix sounds good and precise in mono on that speaker - it will sound great on any audio system for sure! Very recommend!
