Replacement cable for Focal Elegia

Given how inflexible and microphonic the Focal Elegia cable was, I picked up this one instead on a recommendation and am superbly happy with it. Good quality, much less microphonic and perfect length for both mobile use and sitting by the computer.

Great cable but...

Bought this to partner my new T1's because I do most of my listening in front of my PC and the shorter cable length is just right as it doesn't get in the way. Sounds great but... high price - why couldn't I have bought the phones with this fitted instead of the standard 3m cable?
