Must-have cleaning product for saxohone!!!
Most of saxophone players complain about sticky pads, pads of the upper part of the instrument that don't last longer.
Solution?
Keep you pad clean.
This little "device" is really helpful for the purporse.
It's particulary useful for cleaning the "always closed" pads, like high D/Eb/F/F# (if you have the high F# on your instrument), G# (traditionally sticky), Ta/Tc pads, alt F#, low Eb and low C#.
Put the pad cleaner between the tone hole and the pad, close the pad firmly against the tone hole... strip the pad cleaner out: it removes the accumulated spit and the dirt.
No more sticky pads and longer life for you pads.
Can't see CONS... you just have to practice a little, then for cleaning all the "always closed pads" you take not more than 30/40 seconds.

great idea
surprisingly easy to use and gets in all keys. This would help keys sticking more than a pull through or a pad protector.

I used silk pieces taped to a piece of thin cardboard to dry the pads after every practice session, but this product is amazing and i'm never using anything else. I am completely satisfied with the quality and it's ability to absorb liquids.

Pad Cleaner
Since I stopped smoking, (pat on the back, thank you) there is a shortage of fresh cigarette papers.
Sax players use them to dry sticky pads in case you didn't get it.
Now that I saw this pad cleaner, bought it and used it on my horns, I no longer need to pry loose those rizla's that tend to glue together after a while.
This bit of cloth does a great job!
Very happy to have it and will get another one to put in the alto case.
The only cons are, that it is very big for an alto, but I will get the scissors out one day and tailor it to size.
Also, it does seem a little flimsy, but so far there have been no rips in the fabric.
Maybe I'll get an extra one just in case, as they are not expensive.

Simple product that works
This little pad might look expensive for the use but it works great! It's a breeze to get to the toughest and tightest spots on the pads with this little cleaning pad. The soft and absorbent material ensures your pads are dry and clean when you store the instrument. Keep it in a dry and flat place after use so it can retain its shape and be ready for the next use.

Sticky Gis
I bought this little helper to get me out of these sticky Gis situations. It helps a little and the Pads say thank you but IMHO it is a little costly for this little piece of cloth.

dries all the pads.
It dries all the pads and the material is soft.
The only con is that because the material is soft its a bit difficult to get under some pads in the middle of the saxophone.

Sinds ik deze padreiniger gebruik geen last meer van klevende polsters. Ik reinig er al mijn polsters mee en laat de doekjes (2 stuks)"overnachten" tussen de normaal gesloten palm-keys.Door dagelijkse deze doekjes te gebruiken moet mijn saxofoon minder op onderhoud. Betaald zichzelf terug
