This barrel makes a great improvement compared to the original barrels with my Buffet R13 pair. One great advantage is that it plays on both the Bb and A. It gives great sound across the whole range of the instrument. The intonation is improved especially between 12ths with the left hand (between registers.) The barrel offers greater ease of playing.
