A must to replace the second string on 9s sets
For people looking for more consistent sets, without getting into fully custom sets, this is the one things I would recomment to change on set os 9-42. The top being 9, 11, 16 is way to unbalanced and 9, 12, 16 feels much better to me. Second step, for a slightly different feel, 9, 12, 15 though here the third is a bit slinkier than the first and second on bends (I like it) but the tonal differences are also improved given that the jump in thickness between the strings is more uniform.
