Great replacement for lap steel bridge
Atchoo 16.11.2020
At first I was (not afraid, not petrified) a bit reluctant to replacing the bridge on my Gretsch Lap Steel, but I figured I had to give it a go. I'm very glad that I did, because it instantly added all the things I've been missing when playing lap steel. In particular the ability to bend the G-string up a half step and the B-string a whole step.

This makes it possible to play both minor and major chords/licks easily (by pushing both levers), and switch between parallel keys (e.g. C/Am, F/Dm) fast with the lever on the B-string when tuned in D or E major. But the best advice I can give is to be creative. It's a rock solid product that opens for all kinds of custom tweaks regarding tuning and fine tweaking, but find out what works for you. Chances are that you already know if you've found this hidden gem of a product.

The quality seems superb so far, and the user manual/guide covers everything you need to know for mounting, and there's plenty of extra unbraco/hex keys and extra accessory parts so it's easy to adapt it to literally any bridge type. There was a couple of details regarding placement I couldn't find in the manual, but a quick Google search brought me plenty of solid mounting guides.

Quick delivery, great customer service, great product quality and new life to my old lap steel. Both thumbs up from Oslo, Norway!

F
Fast Delivery..
Fafnir 11.12.2018
Bought A DUESENBERG Multibender from Thomann and I live in Iceland. The Delivery was less than 6 days with weekend included. Everything I ordered was as it should be and I'm sending my DMB too a Luthier too attach too my guitar.
The Service from Thomann was so swift and cost effective that I ended up ordering a bunch off more stuff or my guitar and will be turning my Squier guitar into a Beast.
P.S hint too guitar players that have problems with a spouse or loved one that is always complaining about you buying more and more guitars...just buy stuff for you guitar instead. Example: I Bought a cheap squire and ended up getting gear 5 times the price of the guitar and she's none the wiser ; )

Very neat product
Anonymous 26.02.2015
I found this product quite easy to install and get set up. I found it really good to use as it expands what the guitar is capable of producing so and another dimension to your playing, much more use (and fun) than a normal tremelo The only down side I found was that it nakes string changing a bit tricky especially if you've got a trembar lowering a string. I found that I had to remove one of the bridge pieces beforeI could thread the string.

Duesenberg Multibender
lapsteelguy 15.09.2018
For decades musicians and guitar engineers have invented string-bending mechanisms, with varying results. Here?s one that works so well it?s now integrated into Duesenberg?s top-end lap steels. The MultiBender is an amazing piece of precision engineering that uses palm-operated levers to raise or lower up to six strings. This unit comes as a replacement ?Strat-type? top-loading bridge with two levers, additional ones available. However, the supplied two levers will get you those G/B-bender effects, plus some classic country pedal steel sounds.

Fitting is easy and the supplied instructions are clear and helpful. Check your string height and scale length beforehand - you will need about 7 cm of real estate behind the (existing) bridge. This one was going on a lap steel so it was just a matter of shimming up, positioning and screwing down. Once installed, set up the bridge saddles for height and intonation. Then adjust the palm levers for desired tuning and travel. Once tuned up, it?s perfectly stable.

Couple of small things. Setting up the saddles is tricky when strung up to pitch, so be prepared for some trial and error. Also, I don?t know if it was just me, but five hex keys arrived in the package - one small one for the saddles, a larger one for the tuning levers, and three that don?t fit anything.

Adds a new dimension to playing
jackhumbert 19.03.2022
This opens up a whole new way of playing, from smooth pull-ups/downs in chords, to interesting accents in leads.

I would pay attention to & measure your bridge's string spacing before planning a build. This bridge is 2-1/8" or 54mm, which was different from my Strat-copy's sizing (not entirely sure how genuine Strats compare), which wasn't a problem for me, but could be for others.

Werry good but bending strings like to break
Monsterduc 16.03.2021
I use it on my lap steel and I really like it.
The only thing is that strings are breaking quite a lot.
And the part on shaft where the sting is going under should be enginered different was so the string is biting that shaft and there strings breaks and it also scrach that shaft. I did lubricate that part, I did try to put teflon straws on that part but it is not right jet.

GG
Amazing unit
Gerry G. 31.01.2021
Just fitted this to a Tele, having great fun with it, bought the extra lever so I have top E down a tone, G and B up a tone, awesome. Have broken a couple of E's so it must be where the string is touching, will try to solve problem. Instructions could be a bit clearer but I was patient and had no probs fitting it myself. Highly recommended unit :)

FAUX PEDAL STEEL GUITAR
lee thomson 29.06.2022
A fantastic piece of engineering. Duesenberg recommended fitting only 2 levers. I fitted 4 to mine thinking I was being clever, I wanted a full pedal steel guitar sound. Duesenberg are right, more than 2 levers is very tricky to integrate into your guitar playing, especially if you're playing slide. I'm going to remove 2 of my levers (I bought extras from Thomann), and make the whole art of Multibending a real pleasure to play and hear.

String bending for simple folks
Chris886 18.05.2013
Installed a multibender on a lap steel and just love it. Well engineered and very easy to fit. Spot-on tuning and flexible if you want to try some clever tunings and configurations. Will obviously work well on a fretted guitar. Great for classic country and blues. Wish I could do it justice. Pedal steel sounds for 6 string guitarists. Inspired me to learn pedal steel but coming back to the multibender is like meeting an old friend.

Very good build quality and tone
b.i.s.project 19.03.2021
Lovad these bridges! After having tried this one for the first time, I now install it on every guitar I build! Quality is solid as is the tone of the instrument! Haven't had a single issue with these bridges, and I have installed more than a dozen!
