Clean balanced tone

Bought as replacement pickups for Ibanez GSR205B. Install was (relatively) easy, insulation paint in the slots made them about 0.3mm too narrow for EMGs (5-10min job with wood file, no power tools required).

Wiring process was easy, instructions are very clear and all required hardware is provided. Reused old audio plug (soldered connections), old pickup screws (black - EMG provided are silver) and old spacing foam/springs (not provided with EMG pickups).

Entire operation took less than hour (removing strings, filing slots, fitting pickups, connecting all the wiring, soldering (old plug), arranging wires, putting strings back...).

Huge upgrade over stock Ibanez pickups, clean and balanced tone across the range.

very easy to mount

reason i bought them was to try and mount better pickups on a cheap bass i put my hands on. super easy to hook them up and the sound deffenetly improved making it more defenite and punchy

Fantastic sound and easy to set up

They sound big! Love them. Very easy to install with no soldering required. Just make sure you get the right size for your bass. I replaced the pickups on my Cort artisan 4 and the 40DCX fit perfectly.
