This is a great sounding mute, especially if you do a lot of musical theatre. And this is by far the cheapest place to get your hands on one.
I do find it changes the tuning slightly, but once you are aware of it you can adjust accordingly.

Ein Dämpfer, mit dem man sehr zufrieden sein kann. Sehr gut in der Ansprache und mit einem feinen, eleganten Sound. Wie der Name "Solotone" schon vermuten lässt, ist dieser EMO-Dämpfer für solistische Passagen gut geeignet.

Allerdings muss man sich darüber klar sein, dass Soli mit diesem Dämpfer nur in einer sehr zurückhaltenden Lautstärke möglich sind, was insbesondere auch an die Begleitmusiker besondere Anforderungen stellt. Schließlich soll ein Solist auch dann zur Geltung kommen, wenn er leise spielt! Aus meiner Sicht insbesondere für Balladen, getragene Stücke und romantische Tanzmusik im Stil der Ballroom-Orchester der 1930er-Jahre gut geeignet. Und für alle Fälle kann man den Solisten immer noch elektrisch verstärken...
