Evans EQ'd & Protect'd!!!
Purchased this from Thomann recently and been very chuffed! I normally change my bassdrum batter head after few gigs and with this product I won't need to now!
It sticks/glues perfectly to your kick-drum batter head to where your bassdrum beater strikes and it doesn't affect your Sound! Since I've had it on, I've noticed a tiny change in my bassdrum sound and it actually sounds much better!
Another awesome product from Thomann & Evans and having gone through a few drum heads costing a small fortune, the EQ pad will make your batter heads last longer for a longer durability and protects the head specially if you're a hard hitting drummer!
I always wanted to get 1 of these and getting 2 pairs for that price it's a must-have for any drummers!! I like the fact you can position it to how you strike your kicker!

Matches the job description!
Got these as I'm a heavy hitter and I leave a big mark on most bass drum heads (I've even broken two 1-ply bass drum heads, until I understood it was because they were 1-ply...)
This, combined with a 2-ply head, is awesome to keep the bass drum head fresh. The sticker takes all the damage and the head is preserved!

If you're looking at this product you probably know that you should use head protection patch on your bass drum head.
This one does that without changing the head's resonance and adds a nice click to the sound.

If it's Evans, you already know it's good!
So I ripped my first original bass drumhead only over one year due to missing a protection. So after I bought a new drumhead (also a Evans) I knew that I wanted the next one to last way longer, so I needed a protection for my beater.
This item, apart from looking great, does what it is supposed to, protect your drumhead from your beater. Even in my case where I don't have a double bass, I still have one spare in case I opt for double bass, or as a replacement.
The quality of Evans is always great, so this over almost a year, doesn't show almost any marks of use, it has a texture on it so I think this makes it last longer.

works great on a mesh head
Smaller then it looked from the pictures, but actually just the right size for the job.
I am using it on the (3ply) mesh head of my converted to electronic 16" kick and it stuck to the mesh easily and stays there very solid (one of my concerns).
This black one is made of some fabric material (not Mylar), which was the reason to chose it in particular, because with mesh you want to limit down the rebound a bit. It also has a rubberized sticky back and is around 0.6 mm thick total (also good for my purposes). Does the job perfect and keeps it very quiet.
Future will tell how it will stand to the felt beater I am using it with, as felt is notorious for eating heads for dinner :) . But hey, they are two in the set, so great value for the price !

Very durable and looks neat.
It doesn't affect the sound much while still protecting the skin. I like it better than the Remo ones which tend to be too thick.

Does what it says
Great product, does what says on the tin, protects the skin and makes the sound rather warmer. Produces little less attack but can be compensated with a little eq work if needs to be.
