Evans 10" Hydraulic Blue Tom Head
I mounted this head on my Mapex Armory 10" tom.
The product looks beautiful (it blends amazingly with the aquamarine colour of my drumset) and, according to my taste, it sounds great (either too tight or too loose). It delivers that typical '70s/'80s classic rock and hard rock sound, which are the genres I mainly specialise in.
I've had it for a long time now and still looks fine, it's a quality product for sure and also resistant, though (at least on mine) the drumstick signs are showing, but it could be due to the fact that I use the tom a lot when playing and might even be hitting too hard sometimes.
I would choose it if you play hard rock, perhaps it is not the most suitable drumhead for jazz or softer genres, but I think it does the job just fine anyway.

Very specific and interesting sound...
I bought these heads for a very specific project I was working on. The fact that they look super cool is just a happy and welcome bonus. They offer a very fat, wet sound on toms that can give you great scope for exploring different recording techniques. Or if you just want to get a wet sounding head with loads of low end presence and just about enough punch to get by. It certainly won't be to everyone's taste but it's a very interesting sound, worth exploring. As an additional bonus they are extraordinarily easy to tune, and (as long as you're not a really heavy hitter) to keep in tune.

Alright
The fact that I made a tiny crater with my stick the very first time I've tried it out kind of disproves that it's highly durable, but the sound is alright. Short response, which I like, but kind of weird rebound.
Probably not buying those again.

Not convinced
I bought this Drum Head because it promises to create only a short sustain. And it really keeps word: The sustain is very short (like!).
But on the other hand the attack is not very assertive.

Evans best hydraulic heads
I?ve used hydraulic heads in the past and was never overly pleased with them, but I?d said I?d give them another go. Picked up three of these for my roto toms. Now every drummer I know said it would be crazy to use hydraulic heads with roto toms, but to my relief they ended up sounding amazing!
If you?re looking to get sime fat sounding, funky roto toms, then I suggest you slap a fee of these on. I would highly recommend it!
