No, no, no....
Sorry Fender, this one does not deserve your logo.
I bought them because I was low on cash (they're cheap!), need new strings and thought to myself that with Fender behind them, they should do the trick. With the cheap price I of course wasn't expecting too much, but this bad?! They are a joke.
They have a total lack of sustain and they are poor in about every aspect you can think of... the tone dies too quick. I play quite fast stuff as well and something is just plain wrong, they're not responding and it's like my fingers getting stuck to them.
They also have no descent character I'm afraid - they have an anonymous tone to them. Other strings might be remembered for their clarity, brilliance or whatever but these are.....tired and lame.
(For your info I've been playing bass for >15 years.)
Next time, I'll starve instead if I have to, so I can buy quality strings.
Once again, sorry Fender, but you should do better. You still have my trust but I'm not buying these particular strings again.

I like these!
Since they are fitted to my 5-string Squier Jazz bass a couple of months ago, I think I found a very good match.
Crisp and bright sound and the clarity seems to stay forever. More detailed sound than from the factory fitted strings.
Only one star less for it seems to give me a little more sliding noise than the equivalents from D'Addario. But even this might be in the 'grey area' .
I think they are going to outlast that other brand in lasting brightness so here is a very good price/performance ratio.
When these need replacement I will look for the tapered B-string version.
(While looking a packaging and string details it seems that Fender strings are manufactured by D'Addario but that is a personal guess).

Best Price/Performance Ratio!
These Strings are my all-time favourite for any Kind of Basses. I have them on a Maruszczyk Elwood X5a, which is a hybrid J-Bass/Stingray type, on my Yamaha RBX 375, on my Squier VM Jazz Bass (in 4-String) and sometimes on my Squier VM Precision V.
On all basses, these strings sound awesome!
Rich in tone (growling mids, low end and some sparkling highs), nice feeling to touch and, lets call it "average" durability (about 4 months of regular playing until they lose the high end).
So if you're looking for a classic sound with a nice feel and dont want to spent TO much money, you go right with these!

Ringing Sustain
As the title suggests these strings are the tops when original Fender sound is wanted. They are very well finished off, they feel smooth and playable, the fingers are able to move rapidly without fatigue. The ring and sustain lasts very well, this last point adding greatly to the satisfaction with these great strings, well worth the money.

Happy with these
I have been trying all sort of strings, especially the most expensive ones to find out eventually that my jazz bass 1983 never sounded so nice, I would rate the longevity of these strings average.
