Bass VI
Atypical use here, but I bought these to go in the bridge and middle position of a Squier Bass VI that I upgraded. Unintended consequence is that they are RWRP to the SD pickup I bought for the neck, although I had to wire that one differently to avoid phase issues. Not relevant here. Overall, I am very satisfied with these pickups (but am happy to have an SJAG-1 in the neck, which is the position I use the most). I have read tons of good reviews of the sound of these pickups, and I like the way they sound. Biggest plus here over the competition is that you get the claws, which come pre-soldered, pickup covers, and really nice screws. It's the little things that make a big difference overall!

Interesting comparison: '65 vs '62
I bought this set to compare with the stock pickups in the American Vintage 1962 reissue. It's a subtle change, but I find myself drawn towards the neck pickup more, whereas previously I used both neck and bridge.
As usual, the bridge alone remains quite tinny, but perhaps more useful than the 1962s.
Overall this is a fine set of pickups - an absolute no-brainer if you're thinking of upgrading a Japanese Jaguar, and an interesting comparison against USA models.
