Best guitar I have ever owned for a comically low price.

I now have around 6 guitars, all being real Fenders and no word of a lie, I prefer this Squier over all of them. The playability is so smooth, it looks stunning and the sound is just incredible. I will cherish this guitar until the day I die, the only problem I have found is that the neck pickup is significantly quieter, but that doesn't bother me as I rarely use it anyway. 10/10 would recommend to any guitar player.

Squier quality is slipping
TomGoss 09.11.2025
25 years ago Squiers you found in shops were rough and poorly made, and you pretty well had to finish them yourself to have a playable guitar. Things have improved since then and Squier guitars became much better (I owned this same model 6 or 7 years ago and that one was fine) and companies like Harley Benton in particular have raised expectations when you buy even a budget guitar. If you buy something it should be usable then and there and not need further work.
This guitar brought back memories of those old days....and I've had this with another Squier guitar recently as well. It felt 'cheap' and needed a lot of TLC to get it playable...and I could tell it would never be a valued instrument.
There have been a few of these B stock recently too, so I suspect this is a general quality problem within the company.
I'm not going to buy any more Squier guitars online.
