Great option
My first guitar. Good enough quality for beginner's guitar. Should also make a good platform for mods like better electronics, Seymour Duncan pickups and Japanese locking heads. Decent deal but not spectacular.

Great guitar, misleading pictures on Thoman
So, let's talk about the good things:
- The quality of the materials is great;
- The neck is great;
- Fretboard is great;
- The pickups were great;
- The guitar came intonated and tuned right out of the box. No buzzing, no bad sound. Just playable instantly. Which is really to be appreciated from fender.
The bad:
- The pictures on Thoman are 100% misleading. The guitar is not that dark redish color that you see in the pictures. It is 100% WALNUT, from the actual title of the guitar WAL, which is a dark brown. But you have no way of knowing that until you receive it. The guitar is still gorgeous, but yeah, it doesn't match the pictures on the website sadly.
- The black cover near the pickups is covered in a thin piece of protective plastic layer. That plastic layer was absolutely trashed. It looked like they were ice skating with it. And even after the removal, you can still see a few minor scratches. But nothing on the body thankfully.
Overall, yeah, fantastic guitar. Worth the money.

Not fully sure
After reading and watching reviews went for the CV70s. I'm a beginner, so its hard to know what to expect.
Setup out of the box was poor. I have had to adjust about everything. Disappointing, as I went for Thomann cause of the good stories i heard about how they deliver well setup guitars. I'm satisfied with the overall build and looks.
Somehow i have not managed to get the typical strat sounds that I hoped to find. Of course part of that is my lack of skills, but it seems the pickups sound very flat and not as clear and bright as i have seen them on the online reviews. Hopefully i will sort it out, without having to mod anything.
Conclusion: nice guitar, but I wonder if i was unlucky in maybe getting a not too good examplar.

Great modding platform
I bought it with tonerider pickups in mind and i also got locking tuners. I really liked the brown colour and wanted an hss type guitar. It is well built and the stock pickups sounded decent too. Great for the price.
