My contender for a perfect guitar. Already owning a Strat (American Elite '16, of which the neck is a little bit thicker than this one), I was between a Les Paul (P90 or humbucker) and a 335, for about a month. I went for this model, and I remain glad I did after several years. It can do everything you ever wanted distortion-wise (playing with different tone-volume adjustments is so much fun and very intuitive), and has a very distinctive bridge clean tone (the only thing it cannot do is sound like a Fender, which is anyways what we're going for), and a gorgeous, luscious, honey-dripping neck clean tone. Practising unplugged is a truly unique moment, you can really hear the guitar whispering to you, and playing into a clean amp (or even DI, which I've done) is still perfect.
There are a couple of tiny cosmetic blemishes on mine, however Thomann was very helpful in refunding part of the cost for adjustments, and it's true that you have to be kind of nitpicky (like me) with your instruments to mind them in the first place.
As a bonus, the look on people's faces when you take it out of the case (musicians or not) is invaluable. It's like we are programmed to be stunned by its beauty.
