Great quality, easy to install
I bought this to convert my right handed Fender Standard Telecaster to left handed orientation for my wife. Popped out the old nut fairly easily. Filed down the tab at the bottom of the new nut, as it wasn’t needed for the neck I had. Quick file of the edge of the nut as it was a hair longer than the original. Stringed the guitar back up (backwards), adjusted the bridge saddles and hey presto, she has a lefty guitar to jam on. The tusq nut is good quality with a pleasing sound when you drop it down on something, unlike the dull thud from the stock nut. I bought a right handed one too at the same time, just in case I ever want to reclaim the guitar back for me.

Bought this for a mod and it does what it's supposed to do, miles ahead of the plastic nut that comes with cheap guitars

excellent replacement nut
I got this to convert a 2007 American Standard Stratocaster from right to left handed. I had to file the small tab off, and then sand the whole nut a little to lower the string height a bit, but this is quick and easy to do. The nut fits perfectly, is well slotted, and the strings stay in tune when using the tremolo.

Nice upgrade
I replaced stock nut with this Tusq nut and am very happy with the results. I don't hear much difference soundwise, but setupwise, everything is much better.

Best choice for nut upgrading
I got this nut to replace the simple plastic nut of a lefty Harley Benton ST-20. It just needed to sand a little the side of the Graph Tech nut, just a millimeter to fit in. That was it.
The string height was perfect and nothing else had to be done.

Perfect
Exactly as expected from Graphtech, an excellent, high-quality upgrade to my original cheap plastic nut. After removing the underside notch and some minor sanding it fit perfectly into my new ST-20 and improved the tuning stability dramatically.
