Very disappointed
I ordered these strings thinking they would be be the best of the best - unfortunately I was wrong. The Twister A on my first set unravelled as I put them on and when I put my replacement set on, I found the Vintage D and G to be a great tone, feel and tension, but the Metal cored Twister E and A to have a totally different qualities. Far more tension, a deader tone and a strange sticky feel. They literally feel like playing 2 different sets of strings. And the nylon winding on the A started coming apart under the tension, meaning the could not be returned. Try before you buy, not recommended, for rockabilly/slap playing at half the price try a full set of Vintage Gut-a-Like.

Great alternative to Gut strings
I have always used guts for my playing however, they dont last as long Id like. they need oiling and are regularly going out of tune due to temperature or humidty changes.
I tried a set a year ago and was converted. these strings sound very like gut but stay in tune and because they are made from a more stable material will last a long time. My first set are still going strong. Not cheap....but guts arn't either.
