Sehr gute Einführung in's Banjo-Spiel.

Wunderbare Anleitung von Anfang an. Vom "Tuning" über "Tabulature" oder "Chords" bis zu anspruchvollen Fingerpicking Songs. Allerdings steigt der Schwierigkeitsgrad sehr schnell, deshalb wäre ein Vorkönnen im Folkpicking wichtig.

Was fehlt sind Banjo-Rhythmen und Schlagtechniken.
Ein weiterer Nachteil ist die englische Sprache. Für einen Anfänger ist die Methode nicht zu empfehlen.
Für einen fortgeschrittenen Gitarristen allerdings ist sie perfekt.

Je l'ai commandé quand ma belle-fille m'a offert un livre plus avancé sur le banjo à 5 cordes - je n'en avais un que depuis l'été et je n'étais pas "au niveau". Ce livre vous guide doucement dans les premiers pas pour arriver à croire vraiment qu'un jour ce niveau sera atteint. Jusqu'ici je n'ai pas d'observation négative à donner. Le manuel ne mâche pas ses mots - quand la seule façon de progresser est de bosser dur, il vous propose de vous exercer très lentement jusqu'à ce que ça devienne plus ou moins automatique... enfin du bon sens quand il s'agit d'apprendre à jouer d'un instrument. Les illustrations suffisent amplement, pour s'instruire dans la notation pour cet instrument autant que pour la technique.
Bref, une "méthode" qui mérite bien le nom.
