Big Hammond sound at my feet
I use this to accompany myself on guitar and in conjunction with a drummer and occasional keyboard/ piano at a small theatre where we do musicals and pantomimes. I played as a one man band in the 1980's and I wished I had a set like this back in the day.
The built in sounds are more than adequate. The manual states five built in sounds, but when used in conjuction with the cutoff and release controls, the variations available are more than I had hoped for. It far exceeded my expectations when played through a good sound system. I particularly like the pipe organ, which adds a rich organ sound on top of low bass notes.
The only down side is that you need to bend down to make manual adjustments, and there is no visual indication from the playing position as to what settings are selected. Aside from that , I would buy them again without hesitation. A one man or two piece band can sound amazing (provided of course that you practice enough with them).
It is a quality instrument with high qualty soinds.
I tried using an external sound source via midi, but personally I prefer the built in sounds. The convenience also gets a thumbs up compared to products requiring a midi sound module.
