Great practice bass amp
JamesOrinL 12.12.2024
I have the Joyo equivalent which is nice, but this Harley Benton Jamaster is smaller, has a fatter tone, and more features. I also use the Harley Benton Mini Stomp Deep Tone five band equalizer for an even deeper tone. Fantastic sound for quiet practicing.

Just the job
chorna 12.05.2025
Wanted something light but decent sounding to practise while on holiday abroad. It scores well on both counts. It's plenty loud, but I took my ancient Hartke Bass Boost pedal to give it a slightly fuller sound and it passed the "do I want to sit for a while longer and jam?" test. The bluetooth function and headphone socket are nice touches. Only (very) minor downside is no carrying handle, but hey, for this price I could glue on a strap or buy a case.

Does everything it needs to and more!
Moosipall 10.01.2026
First off, the packaging. I ordered a cable with it too, which for some reason doubled the size of the packaging. Pointless waste of space, but I digress.

However, the amp is really great. Took some time to get a good tone, but when I did, then man was it nice. It features a gain, volume and tone knob and also overdrive, which is really adequate to my standards. It's not too raspy or loud or too mild. The volume is great, you can play plenty loud if you want to, but the quality slightly suffers a bit on the low end. It also features bluetooth! I connected and played a song and it sounded alright. The treble of the audio felt a bit weaker than the original, but it's a bass amp so I digress. Amazing for the price! It comes with a short power cable and also can fit 2 AA batteries! The amp is also light and I imagine it would be easy to carry. Great for practise at home or maybe even playing out in a small place. Definitely worth a try, did not dissappoint!

Great Practice Tool
RoBass68 09.12.2024
First of all it is about £33 (Dec 2024).
Bluetooth streaming, a bit of bass overdrive but importantly a good neutral clean tone.
It is a perfect “light” desktop practice amp. The overdriven tone is a bit buzzy and the active boost on my bass is a bit too much for it (TBH its a bit much anyway!)
But playing along with tracks from your library is very good with clarity and decent music/bass balance.
I’d recommend this.

JB
Great value
Jeff Bosch 30.08.2025
I wanted a portable (battery powered) bass practice amp with aux inputs and overdrive. Loud enough to hear at close range but not enough for neighbors to complain or housemates to throw things at me. This checks all those boxes.

It does feel a little cheaply made, but after all, it's a cheap amp, right? My five star rating considers value for price paid.

Thomann customer service was great. UPS charged a whopping 115% tariff to the US. An appeals court recently upheld a ruling that these tariffs are illegal. So bow it'll go to the Supreme Court for final ruling. Unfortunately we have a "kiss the ring" conservative majority in the court, so it's anybody's guess whether they'll follow the law or kiss the ring. Stay tuned.

Small bugger for home de-bugging

HB Jamster in a nutshell is a portable speaker with all the modern I/O you need for bass practice in your bedroom. Sound quality and volume is mediocre as expected and you really can't complain in this price range. Obviously not an amp for venues or busking in loud streets.

Love this Wee Thing
The Edster 17.10.2025
Bought this desktop amp so that I wouldn't disturb the neighbours or incite rage from the head of the household (my wife). Music is for sharing, of course, but who wants to hear someone practicing the same four bars over and over?

Great all-round sound, with some flexibility to shape that sound. Useful functionality for playing along with your chosen device. Love this wee thing. Would recommend.
