The €400 bass that outplayed my flagship gig rig.
As a working bassist doing 20–30 shows a year, I’ve gone through my fair share of great gear over the last five years—from Fender and Sire to high-end Yamahas, Aria, Cort, and Frudua. I know what a good live tone requires.
During our annual summer residency—four high-energy nights with the same FOH engineer we’ve worked with for years—I decided to do a real-world test. Set one was played on my Japanese-made Yamaha BBP34. For set two, I brought out the Harley Benton Bass The World.
After the set, our tech walked straight over and said: "You've literally never sounded better, and I barely had to touch the board."

Superb, honestly.
This bass is everything you want at the price. Very playable, with a super nicely finished neck. Excellent sound. Looks gorgeous. Still kinda shocked at how good this is. I’ll probably pick up a second one when new colourways are released. I know someone who tried mine and is definitely picking up a lefty when they drop, too. These are killer!

This bass just blow my mind! How is it possible that Harley Benton in collaboration with Bass The World can deliver this bass model with all the hardware it comes with? And how can now more well-known bass brands defend their prices from now on? Thumbs up, and moore of this please!
