Harley Benton ST-Modern Plus MN HSS FBB

Recieved this morning and as always, very well packaged.
Pros....
The fit and finish is excellent
pick ups sound great
The flamed maple top is perfect
The neck feels great, the flame realy stands out
Tuners fell good quality, although a little stiff
Th bridge is very high quality

Cons....
I think this is to rival the Fusion series. I have aFusion HSH in Bengal Burst (fantastic guitar) cost less than this one did, however, HB have opted to put the cheapest string trees on, (roller string trees on the Fusion) and normal locking tuners, as opposed to staggered, which are on the fusion.

The bridge Humbucker seems very loose and wobbly. Maybe its just mine and the springs have moved.
Also, the description of this guitar on the Thomann website states that the fretboard has rounded edges. It deffo doesn't, they're some of the sharpest I've felt on any guitar. I think this is just a mistake in the description and needs removing.

And finally, there is no country of manufacture on the headstock, just a barcode. Never seen this before. Rang Thomann and they seem to think they are made in the Sire factory in China, but wasnt 100% sure.

Overall though this this guitar is really good with high end features. Well worth th money.

Just had to confirm this before I wrote the review. I was stoked to finally have purchased this and getting it home. Transport went smooth'ish (damaged outer box, but nothing serious with the guitar).... But I wasn't too pleased with the pot-meters and the earthing of the guitar. It makes horrible sounds when I am trying to use the volume-pot, and it has serious noise-issues wich can be that the electronics on this guitar is not sheilded at all and the earth-part of it isn't present at all. I will investigate this as soon as I am changing string-gauge on it. -It came with .010's but I am going down to .009's 'cause that's my prefered strat/tele gauge. It is kind of sad that this beautiful and well build guitar has such electrical issues out of the box. It means that I need to pay to get this sorted out to get it playable in a recording. Wich then again forces me to give this guitar a much lower grade then I was intended too... Fix these issues before the guitar is shipped to the costumers and it'll get a much higher rating. At least from me.
