Just a short Tweet, but more than 140 characters...
This was the second of these I had to replace in around 4 years of having the HK Lucas system. Only ever had vocals put through it so a little surprising that 2 should fail, both in the same speaker, which may be a clue to issues elsewhere?
As usual with Thomann, it arrived well packed and was easy enough to remove the speaker grill, unscrew the screws holding the faulty tweeter and install the new one with press-on connectors.
Given its small size, on both occasions that the tweeter failed, it was immediately noticeable there was something wrong, these active speakers do rely on all the components operating properly.
Great price at the time from what I remember, couldn't have got it cheaper in the Uk

Compared.
My Eminence AHT80's are way louder, but the TLC's do brighten my 400 Watt PA sound nicely.
The tlc 6's are in a separate box electrically tapped into the main speaker lead. Tlc6 instructions show a series 4.7 mfd polly cap on the live side of each horn, it seems to help a lot when pushed hard, 200 Watts. I want them to last a long time so I will follow the instructions carefully. And again, my thanks to thomann for carrying all this exciting equippe for experimenters like me to mess around with.
