Out-of-phase sounding E String (Non-Faulty Set)
You will be suprised by how dead-sounding and out of phase the E String will sound once you mount them.
I had these installed by my local music shop, and the owner said to me he felt the E String had a problem, and sounded dim/dead compared to the other strings. So he raised the pickups super high to counter measure, and I though I could work with that…
Well no, to me it just sounds out of phase, like the frequency of the note isn't clearly defined on the initial attack, and then settles with a bit of time.
I asked Thomann's support for comments, providing them with an audio sample, and they came back to me saying they consider the set to be a good one.
So here it is: the sound of the E string is unsuable and disgusting, A-D-G sound just amazing. And now you're left wondering how such a pricy set of strings can be so bad.
What do I do now? Try some labellas and pyramids, hoping for a better outcome.
We'll see!

After trying several other string sets on my Beatle bass, I always come back to these.
They are very nice on the fingers and sound great.
It also has the most balanced tension for me personally at this scale length.
They are not cheap but they last a considerable time, and I think it pays off in the end.
I like them and highly recommend them!

The best Strings for Höfner Beatle Bass
Looking for the best choice of strings I fall on this ones. Thank you Höfner for make it! This are the best strings you can wear on your Beatle Bass. The attack is perfect, and de overall sound excellent too, with big bass without loosing highs.-

oh my god! this is great strings. your fingers will be really grateful. price though is quite big for one pack. but they are soft and good soundin! keep in mind this is for short scale basses

I love the sound and feel. Best flatwound strings I´ve tried. A musthave for a Hofner owner, but they can also be used on Fender P and J basses.
The note definition is fantastic, smooth and the touch & fell is awesome. They last an eternity and I haven´t found the sound does not particularly degrade.
I recommend them to everyone, even if they are not your style, you should try them.

A,D and G strings are great
for the price E string was dull in comparison to its neighbors. Found expensive for what they are back in the day (Sold my 500/2 four years ago).

Höfner H1133 B Beatle Bass Strings
As with the hard case that I bought, service was excellent and quick. The strings arrived only a few days after ordering. I have fitted them on my Club bass and am very pleased with the feel and sound.

Hofner Beatle Bass Strings
These strings are okay but the Bella Deep Talkin' flat wounds made for the Hofner are way better. The Hofner strings needed to be cleaned several times as they left black stains all over my hands when played.
