Ibanez JS2480-MCR Joe Satriani

Disappointed, middle position on sustainic switch is faulty (it turns OFF the sustainic effect completely, Sadly Thomann seem to take ages to reply to emails. Guitar was ex-demo/on display, but sold at full retail price, with a fault!
Other than that the guitar is well put together, virtually no cosmetic flaws which is unusual for Ibanez! In normal (non sustainic) mode the guitar sounds and plays very well, action needs setting a little lower but that's easily sorted.

I rarely rate guitars this high but trust me this one really delivers the goods in all aspects. I have been introduced to the JS series via the JS20S. I found that the guitar was exceptional in its price range and gave this model a try. I was truly amazed by it out of the box. Give it a try you will be surprised just like I did. I wonder why this guitar does not get more love from everyone.

For sheer versatility this guitar is unbeatable from crisp funk rhythms to Van Halen leads the SatchUR8 pick up sounds better than my EMG 85/SA active picks up. The combination of the sustaniac and high pass filter allows you do things no ordinary guitar can. The original Ibanez Trem is stable and responsive....Superb finish.....low action.....Like I said unbeatable....it has become my go to guitar...
