Powerful and useful for small spaces
Replaced my good old Adam A7 and was looking for more compact monitors. These iLoud MTM are really impressive for their flat response and astonishing low end extention! I even have to switch the 50Hz filter to avoid the furnitures to rumble with the bass. The calibration feature is extremely handy to acchieve a neutral response is almost any space. What is special about this model is that the sweet spot is very narrow. That sounds like a negative point, but this is how they have been designed to reduce the effect of room reflections.
Are these as good as twice more expensive speakers as the marketing says? That is not so sure. It mighy be true for the frequency response. But even if I find them very accurate and more precise for bass heavy music especially in my small space, they do not offer the level of clarity, air, space and instrument separation that I liked with my previous Adam monitors. But at the end of the day, I am a happy customer for the sound they produce for such small and pretty boxes.
