Love and hate
I use these for a weird purpose...
I use special dynamic mics with a higher frequency range to record my cymbals (odd but listen) I do this as a means of reducing the spill what you get from condensors. I them use some processing to enhance the top end in the mixing stage. This means I get more clarity from the kit and eliminates a lot of the mid range masking other things in the mix such as guitars, vocals and snares. I can them apply reverb to an appropriate amount (which is great if you don't have an ideal sounding room)
These save me a lot of time! I don't have to use mic stands now (which is amazing) and saves sooo much time. They're built very well and can take a beating! HOWEVER you cannot adjust the length of the clips (which is obvious) but is a bit of a flaw. Anything else to do this kind of job requires a lot more money though and I think these are great. A little expensive for what they are but I think they'll last a long time.

You never know
You never know what awaits you when recording a music. Such a small connector can be very useful in unforeseen situations.

K&M 238 Mikrofon Support Rail
A very nice and handy piece of equipment. I am using this for holding the second condenser mic on the one stand in stereo setup up. It is stable enough for holding quite heavy condenser mic, and I don't have to use second mic stand, which gives you extra floor space in your environment.

Slightly short maybe
Very useful for singer-guitarists. We use ours with a Sennheiser e614 on the side of a short boom K&M 210/9 with a Shure Beta87. Great vocal and guitar combination. Using a mic on the acoustic guitar gives a much warmer and fuller sound than the built in pickups on most acoustic guitars.

Great addition to my kit.
I haven't had to use this many times but it has made things easier for me on a few occasions when I haven't had the floor space for another mic stand. Great little item to have in your arsenal and good quality build.

the M/S Solution
I use two of those K&M 238 for two AKG C414 and M/S miking on one microphone stand. One rail is used the normal way and one headfirst. That works great and is much faster than miking M/S with to microphone stands.
