Perfect for Snare Bottom
Joseph8049 26.01.2015
K&M advertise this as a table clamp, but I do not see how this can ever be used as a table clamp. The boom arm is too long for this to be practical. It does have that use, but this is definitely more at home as a serious recording clamp which will see its main use as an extra telescopic boom for microphone stands.

I bought this to record the snare bottom. It is absolutely perfect when combined with a K&M 25900. Some people use rim mounts, but I think that the less microphones attached to drum hardware when recording, the better.

It rotates 360 degrees. Is stable and doesn't droop with a SM57/C451. The clamp fastens tight so doesn't slide. It matches the quality of other K&M products.

It is slightly more expensive than I would like for what is basically a telescopic boom arm attached to a clamp, but something like this really makes recording easier so is worth the little extra money spent.

It can be used for many other things, like adding a second telescopic boom to a single mic stand for stereo recording. You could even clamp it to doors or pipes for room recording if you run out of mic stands. The clamp opens very wide which makes this very versatile and it works on both flat and round surfaces.

I am on a very tight budget, try no budget at all, so I am very picky about what I spend my money on. I am completely happy with this purchase and I will use this for a long time to come.

Not too bad, it worked
Leonardo Mirenda 01.02.2022
I used this to apply a beheringer pc16m (in ear mixer) to a mic stand, and it worked. I really have to tighten it all the way to make it stay totally still, but once I set it properly, it stayed there and didn't move until now (after months)

Save space on your desk
GearAddict46 09.06.2021
Before I had a big mic stand on my desk for my mic,

Now THIS, is a dream. The space it saves on your desk is absolutely wonderful. You just clamp it onto your desk and you're good to go. What an amazing product! The only thing that is a bit of a con is that you only have one possible axis, but that is something you can work with. For me it just fits perfectly like it should.

Very sturdy, gets the job done.
Albert R 03.09.2020
The stand is very sturdy and pretty hard to budge by knocking into it accidentally. You'll have to properly unfasten it to make adjustments, as intended.

As it doesn't come clamped around anything in shipping, you might have to reassemble part of it before first use, but that's simple enough.

I've even used it to hold more weight than advertised without a hitch, though that's probably not advisable.

Super handy stand
Sonica.be 12.02.2021
This thing makes micing up a source with multiple mics a lot easier.
for instance for snare top and bottom, no more fiddling with to many mic-stands in one place.
Every studio should have one ! (or 2 or 3 , :-) )

The best wedge stand on the market.
Seversong 26.07.2018
Its made with quality materials and strong enough to hold my uncontrolled violence while i was testing different angles and positions about 2 hours. It has built-in second retractable pole and total length is almost 1.5 meters including microphone. But at this length you will be needed a counterweight because it will slowly get down from any angle lower than 75 degree to floor. Especially with heavy condenser microphones with shock mount and pop filter. Not matter how hard you will secure the fixing handle. It just can't hold wights more than 200g at full length.

is difficult to find this type of product, it seems that only the K & M we have thought, very useful to fix mics around a drum, it is well made, has a thousand adjustments and seems very durable and long lasting, I would recommend.

Does its job
DaeO 07.01.2023
As long as you don’t have to much weight in it and and don’t extend it too much it does its job.
It would need a counterweight to work optimally but beware. A K&M counterweight might not fit this stand due to the design of the rod. Of course there are workarounds and i will apply these in the near future.

Wery high quality wedge stand.
Makendzis 03.12.2018
Bought it to keep my Sony PCM D100 in place while doing voice over recordings in my car. The "joints" are made very well as K&M would.
Goes very well with K&M 19695 Universal Mount. Now I use it to hold my Lumix LX100.

A
necessary tool where spaces are few on the ground
Anonymous 13.07.2014
is an necessary tool where spaces are few on the ground, has a very wide grip, allowing it can be hooked on any auction, on microphone stands or drum stand, seems to be lasting, for nothing econimico, very accurate, I use it for miking the drums, unfortunately the microphones that use (sm57) are too heavy and bulky to be connected with clips to the rim, recommended
