Sings like a Robin
ExilHesse 21.03.2023
This was a bit of an experiment for me. I play a 38-year-old Hans Hau classical guitar, and my preferred strings are Savarez 520F with wound G-string. The EDC34.0 MHT have a slightly heavier gauge, which takes some getting used to. The trebles are singing brightly and very pleasing, not at all dissimilar to the Savarez I am used to, while the wound base strings sound a bit more metallic, but not unpleasantly so.
I would say that the only aspect where the Savarez 520F really win over the EDC34.0 MHT is the wound G-string, but then the latter are always the first to go due to their thin gauge.
Let's see how the carbon fibre performs in terms of longevity; their sound is definitely worth a try.

cool strings

Force fitted these into an acoustic guitar.

They played absolutely gorgeously and they made previously challenging things ,like certain bar chords, competely trivial. Then they snapped in half. My acoustic is bent to fight tension from much heavier strings...

Really good strings, lasted a month of two(in unnatural use), turned out the guitar wasn't worth it in the end.
