Ok for the price
Euzebian 19.06.2020
I bought this to play some drum patterns for hip hop beats.
It plug and plays, no need to install nothing, it's a midi device and on windows 10 it should auto-install itself if your internet connection is active.
The x/y pad is funny tho not very useful for my needs, the gate is good as well if you want to do something live, the tap works fine.
The quality itself doesn't feel very good, but I have mine for 6 years+ and it still plays like the first time.
The sensitivity is also ok, not perfect, but it works great to use with your fingers wihtout aplying too much force.
I would recomend this for the price if you don't need something too serious.

Good useful tool for your home studio!
Christian92 21.02.2014
Korg's nanoPAD 2 is a great addition to every home studio. I use it with Reason but it would also work perfectly with every other DAW. Controlling drums with a keyboard was always quite messy but using nanoPAD it has become a piece of cake. Just connect it to your PC or Mac (no driver required, simply plug and play!) and get going. Plus the white housing looks great with a Macbook Pro. Although it is obviously made of plastic it doesn't feel cheap at all. Every each of the 16 pads corresponds well and dynamically while all vital functions are easy accessible with triggers above the pads. The x-y-Pad adds to the useful functionality range.
Huge recommendation!

Insensitive pads.
Anonymous 01.02.2015
I wouldn't recommend this, since the buttons aren't back-lit and more importantly - also being the deal-breaker, the buttons are really insensitive and you have to press really hard.

This makes drumming very difficult and to the point of it being useless as a drum-composer. If you need to trigger a few sounds, or samples, sure, but serious drum-editing is unbearable. I'll probably replace this with a smaller arturia equivalent pretty soon. :-)

Decent quality

The trigger-pads work fine but you do sometimes have to press a bit hard but I guess it can handle hits from the fingers.

The XY-pad on the other hand is hard to master. You really have to get in there and press all you can for it to register the movies. If you have it lying on the table like I am it's hard to maneuver but if you on the other hand pick it up to play it like a guitar it's easier to apply the needed pressure.

All in all I would say that I'm satisfied, especially since the nanoPAD2 is so cheap.

Replacement
Anonymous 02.12.2014
I got this a while ago as a replacement for Maschine as it was too big (and expensive) to carry to small gigs. I have been happily surprised when I got an iPad shortly time after and it works with iPad MS20 emulation and Launchpad as well!!! Pretty good value for money, been gigging with it for 2 years now and never broke down. Pitchbend in the touchpad works fine too
