Punch way above their weight

These ended up getting a different life than expected - used for production monitoring for a while, then replaced with Rokit RP5s. They've now found a happy home in my living room paired with my vinyl player. In both cases, they've outperformed what should have been much more impressive speakers - genuinely extremely impressive.

Sounds good to me but I like Krk more but i really like use them listening music and make music. I am happy to have them

Pleasantly Surprised...

I bought these for my drummer who wants something really affordable and small to fit in his e-drums room so that he can hear his recordings through something else except headphones... I have to say I expected them to be way worse. Turns out I was wrong. They sound quite good and adequately powerful. As I am writing this I am in the process of breaking them in and so far I am truly impressed! I mean, I can hear my mixes with a 90% accuracy, compared to what I hear on my Dynaudios. That is quite a feat, I think... I suppose they are a bit murky when it comes to their mid frequencies but what can you expect from speakers at this price range? Also, I had to lower the bass a bit so that they would not sound too boomy. All in all they feel like an honest proposal for budget conscious consumers, without massacring the quality of the music they are called upon to reproduce. Way to go M-Audio!!!

Unfortunately the first pair had a problem where the master tweeter kept cutting out but Thomann replaced the units and they are perfect for my needs.

Blown away with the sound

These monitors are great. They deliver a lot. Turned up highs and they sound just mindblowingly good. Clear sound, great, rumbling bass, immersive stage, lots of detail. No EQ (other than the back knobs) needed at all. They look nice, can go loud, build quality is great... 4.5" woofers, active-passive setup (a bit less of cable mess). All for just slightly over 100 Euro. Really happy with them!

Died after 1 - 2 years.

Very bass heavy. Fine if you can cut the bass with an EQ. Seemed to stop working today.
