Meinl 08" HCS Bell

I bought this as the bottom cymbal for a mini hi-hat, which it does very well, with an old 8" (Paiste Alpha) splash on top.

As a bell it seems to perform well too. The heaviness I wanted for the hi hat gives a clear tone with good sustain. I'm not too sure about its musical application, as I don't use a bell in my set-up, but the note is certainly clear, unsullied and it can be played quite loudly with no loss of tone.

The usual high quality finish from Meinl, even though this is from one of the more affordable ranges.

Not much to say here. Use this when you need to insert a tiny bell sound in between whatever that you are playing. Works great in combination with splash cymbal sounds. Quality is very good from what I can judge, this looks like it will last for a while.

Use this bell for almost every kit setup I do now it sounds amazing and is super super durable great for accents and as a little fx cymbal, all my bandmates love sneaking up and hitting this thing when im out the room its a sweet sounding almost oriental bell.
