Great low cost octobans
For some reason the alternatives for getting octobans are crazy prices.
These are great value. The milennium hardware on the stands is good. Although the design seems to have changed. The version i have use tom arms like pearl tom arms, two tubes with a pivot joint in the middle. Whereas they seem to be ball joint and L-rods now like tama toms. Personally i dont like ball joints, i prefer the reliability of a solid arm. However i admit they are a little limited in positions with those arms as the teeth inside the mechanicsm limits possible angles but after a while of tinkering you can get them where you want them. L-rods have their own limits but in terms of micro adjustments of angles if thats what you want then the new design will likely be better for you.
The heads that come with them sound good.
All round just good value for money, an excellent way to add more range of percussive sounds to a kit. well worth buying both sets of sizes so you have the full 4 available octobans.
One thing i would say is, it's OCTObans thomann. where are the other 4 sizes? I'd buy them in a heart beat.

These are amazing
These Octobans sound great. I really wanted to add Octobans to my prog metal kit and found other brands to be quite expensive.
I wasn't sure what these would sound like and I have to say they really do sound great.
For miking purposes I put a dynamic mic underneath each pair of Octobans and I find this yields a good result.
The only downside to these is the hardware. They cannot be mounted at a great height due to the short stands so I would advise having some spare clamps to attach these to a rack if you have one.

Great quality but the sound somehow is not what expected
They are great pieces, especially for the price you get them, but don't expect to sound like the their expensive brothers, you need to change the drumhead and also pay attention to the tuning in order to get them where you want them from the sound angle of view

Brilliant addition to the drum kit
The stand is strong and robust. The height is a little restricted but you can get round this by clamping the top section to a heavy duty cymbal stand. The drums are actually more positionable than the Tama octobans as they have the traditional tom bracket and post style mounting as opposed to slot mounts. The sound of the drums is excellent especially with some upgraded heads on. I used evans G14's with brilliant results. The shells are aluminium and yield a popping bark of a sound that is really good! The drums are very tuneable with a broad range between low and high and you will be able to get the sound you want with ease.

Theses are great quality and sound fantastic value and stands are nice and steady and adjustable I got both sets half the cost of one set of tama !! great service and fast delivery 10/10

A good copy
I actually bought these to take apart and fit to custom built acrylic tubes to make my own Octobans. However before I took them apart I did play them and certainly after putting some decent Remo heads on they sounded fine and fit for purpose.

Couldn’t be happier
They are mega, couldn’t be happier with them. The sound is great, likes of the tama ones, but a fraction of the price.
The only issue I have was the stand, it’s very short but with a bit of extra clamping it was easily fixed. Honestly didn’t deduct from my rating of them though. Very good product.

Bark
What a great add on to my drums, I bought both this and Low set, they both work so well with a meaty bark that beats out rhythmic accents and fills with aural pleasing tones. Easily these can hold their percussive heads up high with the more expensive counterparts. A great alternative sound to my drum arsenal and a bargain to boot.

good quality metal shells, sturdy stand, sounds the real deal and great quality for the money. I have wanted a set of Tama Octobans for years but could never justify the cost, very happy to have discovered these!

Great value for its price!
It’s absolutely worth the money.
It’s not high-end of course, but the sound is nice, easily tuned and I really like them to be honest.
