Moeck 4304 Rottenburgh Alto

I own and play many different Recorders, but finally purchased a Moeck Boxwood Alto from Thomann. This is my third Moeck Alto. The voice of the instrument blends delightfully when I play with others as well as being refined enough to play solo in public. I'm able to play it without clogging for a very enjoyable length of time. Only my ebony can be played longer. Moecks have only improved over the years. I've been playing 70-years now. If I was recommending a first Alto to buy, I think the Moeck Boxwood would be my choice. I think I'd say the same thing if someone intended to own only one Alto - something we Recorder players don't really know how to do. This instrument is quite worthy of your consideration no matter how long you've played and no matter if you're in an ensemble or playing solo. Thank you Moeck; Thank you Thomann.
