Feature packed noise gate
It's what it is, a Noise Gate. It has a lot of options such as letting you choose what kind of noise to gate (hum hiss or everything) and also offers a "high trigger range". Honestly this gate it's not bad. It's indeed smart, he senses when your signal should start to be gated and it's always smooth.
One thing i don't like though are the various switches. How can I say, I find them pretty useless. I want a gate to silence my rig, not just remove the hiss and leave some of the noise there, so this renders that switch useless. The high trigger range really degrades your tone so I always use it on normal range. If you turn the knob all the way up it will munch away some of your top end, but that's understandable and pretty common on noise gates.
I guess that for this price it's one of the best gates out there.

Good pedal
This is a useful noise gate for the guitarist with noise in their signal chain. I use it at the end of my perl board, effectively killing the signal when my guitar is silent.
It has some useful features.
The options of Hiss, Mid and Full means that you can decide which type of noise you want to eliminate.
There are cheaper noise gates on the market but this one certainly performs well.

MXR Smart Gate M-135
MXR Smart Gate M-135 is not cheap, but it works very good. Sound quality stays really better and there is no backing noises. It has place in my pedal board already for 2 years.

Great gate!
The range of features on this pedal for this price point is great, with 3 different modes and an addition switch for really high gain amplifiers along with a traditional "level" control it is a great addition to any pedalboard

Good pedal
I use MRX Smart Gate at the end of my signal chain. It does exactly what it was suppose to do: silence. No tzzzzzz noises from my overdrive and distortion pedals. Nice handling and appearance too!
