Very good indeed
When one of our bands leads goes wrong, I typically find that the problem is with the plug: either zero or poor quality strain relief for the cable, which permits constant flexing of the wires, so that in the end the wires break through fatigue. Often strain relief consists soley of relatively soft metal 'jaws' being crimped onto the cable. The soldering itself very rarely fails (though it will in the long run if the cable is repeatedly exposed to big temperature changes). I repair all cables these days using Neutrik plugs. Each plug comes with plastic inserts which effectively 'lock' the cable into the plug, and to which the outer shell casing screws. I don't even need to file the metal of the plug contacts to get a good solder joint anymore! Get some of these and look forward to not touching that lead again ...

I have not tried any better.
When jacks get stuffed in an old car midwinter, and left there for a couple of days, jacks, and other assets you might have, do corrode. That is not the case here. And I am finally through with my winter problem and music equipment. At least when it comes to jacks.

Excellent connector. Why should you buy this?
This was a first project of mine to make my own cables and practice my soldering skills. Smartly designed negative and positive end's angle made it very easy solder them despite I was using an 8 euro worth soldering iron. It was also very straight forward to assemble the parts. The gold tip makes it durable against oxidation in time.
I wish I could've upload a picture of how beautiful, durable and quality cable it became. Look no further for a solid connector bang for the buck.

High performance and high quality-price ratio
I got dozens of this NP2 X-B and cables from Sommer to make my own various guitar and bass cables.
Pros: This jack is well built, easy to solder and with a very wallet-friendly price tag. Sound-wise, it gives clear sound especially the mids.
Cons: I can't think of any.
Summary: Though there is some audible difference when compared with a same model of cable installed with certain hi-fi rank jacks, undeniably NP2 X-B is still a very good and competent choice given its high performance and high quality-price ratio.

Well made, robust ad easy to terminate
As you'd expect from Neutrik really; well made, good tight fit, easy to solder and feels like it'll last through years of heavy use.

I am satisfied!
I bought several different styles of connector from Neutrik, some even watertight, and they're freakin bulletproof! They're a little complex compared to the garbage connectors that comes free with a guitar from radio shack, but well worth it when you see the professional quality and result of the finished product. One of the best musical instrument purchases and decisions that I ever made!

These plugs are awesome!
Neutrik company manufacturing very good products and these plugs are awesome, they're not cheap, if you compare to other non-branded or another brands plugs, the craftmanship is very accurate and the materials from who they've been made is very high grade. i recommend these plugs and other from this company for those, who wants very high quality :) .
P.S.: these plugs have instructions on their website, how to prepare for soldering :), briliant!

Neutrik strikes again
Proper good quality mono jack connector. I bought a pair to replace basic ones on some hydrophones I own.
You might think there's not a lot to say about a connector that is a work horse but it is clear that this has been well designed for it's purpose. The barrel is solid metal and the threads are all clear and work well. The solder pots are just the right diameter for the shape of iron you'll be using to solder something this size. The conductive parts are thin to minimise capacitance and gold plated to stop corrosion. The strain relief works and will suit thin cables as well as thicker guitar leads.
All in, a great product and well worth investing a few extra Euros on. You do get what you pay for and these come highly recommended.
