As an untrained electric upright bass player I bought this bow made by NS to go with my NS bass. It’s carbon fibre so it’s nice and light. I’ve never used a wooden bow so I’ve nothing to compare it to. However it works perfectly well so I don’t think I need to compare it to anything. It does the job and it does it well so I would recommend it for use with any upright bass.
