I bought this as a replacements for my Sabian SBR.
There's a huge difference between them. Even if this one is classified as a beginner to intermediate cymbal, it's impossible not to appreciate the sound.

It's a lot thicker than a lot more solid than other cymbals I've tried at this price range and you can feel it a lot better while you play.

Would definitely buy something else from this series in the near future.

Great Hi-Hat for the price

I bought these hihats as an upgrade from my old 13inch pst3s and after only a few practices I must say I’m extremely impressed. The quality is incredible and the finish is particularly brilliant, nice and shiny. In terms of sound, it’s very responsive and crisp but still has enough depth to stand out when playing closed half notes for example, there is also a decent amount of weight to them so you don’t feel like you’re going to crack them.

One fact I would give is that they seem to scratch fairly easily (after practicing with metal brushes I noticed a few scratches but nothing out of the ordinary)

i bought this hi hat to replace my stock set on my pearl roadshow. the hi hat has a really good sound and i couldn't be happier. i after the hi hat i plan to replace the snare and get a new ride as well all from the same series :)

Best hi-hats for the price

These sound quite good for their price, although, like with everything in life, everyone has their taste - PST7s are quite bright, which I personally like, however someone might not.
I highly recommend them if You're looking for budget hi-hats - probably won't find anything that beats these, unless You find something on the used market

Excellent cymbal for price!

This hi-hat is definitely suited more for rock music, but it sounds awesome live and in the studio. Its sound is quite bright, especially when closed. Excellent for anybody with preferences for bright cymbals.
