They do exactly what they're supposed to do
No complaints. I used these while restoring an old Pearl Export kit because some of the tension rods were missing. These did the job perfectly

they are screws
To be honest, I could not find any difference to the cheap chinese ones I had before by eye. They do the job so far, but nothing special, not really super smooth to touch like I imagined.
