Great Practice Amp

I was on the fence between this and the Fender Rumble and fell to the Phil Jones. Got to say I'm vary happy with my choice, the Rumble is a fine amp also but a little overly warm for my taste. The Phil Jones is light, compact and well made, its ideal for my use, which home practice.

Its not packed with features but has all the things you really need, I don't see the need for distractions in a practice amp. What is there works well.

Four stars for sound? There is nothing wrong with the sound which is great for its intended use. I've dropped a star simply because it is limited by its size and maybe is a touch to "clean" but i'm willing to concede that that's partly down to my bass which is quite bright. You could see this as a positive as it allow the true tone of the instrument to come through.

I can say overall I'm happy with this amp. It fore fills its role very well and has enough volume to annoy the rest of the household should you wish to do so!

welcher Druck aus dem kleinen Kästchen herauskommt. Ich spiele einen passiven short scale Ibanez Bass. Unsere Besetzung: Folk/Blues Gesang mit A-Gitarre, Lead Gitarre, Bass. Ohne Schlagzeug, was aber kein Problem wäre wenn der Schlagzeuger maßvoll spielt, was er ja muss. Im Proberaum sowieso kein Problem, Im Hof auch nicht. Kleine Gigs, Clubs, Bars alles Bestens. Reisst man die Regler Level und Volume bis zum Anschlag rechts auf, passiert garnichts, außer dass er unverschämt laut wird. Kein Zerren, Rauschen, Brummen. Hab ich noch nie erlebt. Der EQ ist bei 12 Uhr liniar und rastet dort ein. Vorsicht bei Anhebung von Bass und Treble, aber das hört ihr ja selbst. Seine echten 50 Watt reichen auch als Monitor auf der Bühne, man geht dann über line out in den Mixer, notfalls, ohne PA, hilft auch ein Keyboardverstärker oder A-Gitarrenverstärker gern aus. Hier den Phil Jones Bass Combo M-7 leiser machen und den Ton über den Zusatzamp abhören und einstellen.
Fazit: für Rock (seicht), Popp, Blues, Folk, Country, Kirche u.ä. ideal,
für härtere Sachen nicht.
Kaufen!!!

Talent non reconnu à sa juste valeur

Je publie un petit retour de ce petit ampli car, il est à mon sens pas apprécier à sa juste valeur et peu connu.
Je recherchais un tout petit ampli pour la maison avec un très bon son et je lorgnais vers le Phil Jones double four BG 75 ou le markbass micromark 801.
J'ai ainsi commandé le PJB double four et j'ai été déçu, très qualitatif mais le son de ma streling by musicman ray 4 ne sortait pas bien dessus : corde de Mi trop présente par rapport aux cordes la, ré et sol. Son trop "chirurgical" et puis le prix trop élevé .. injustifié !
Je commande donc le micro 7 et là l'ampli parfait pour moi, la taille et le poids (le BG75 es trop petit en fait), ça ressemble à un combo basse. Le son est terrible pour la taille, il y a des basses et on entend vraiment le réglage fin des potards. Mieux, il corrige les défauts connus du préampli de la ray 4 : volume pas progressif, corde de mi trop présente. Le son est neutre (parfait sur ma warwick streamer standard passive), pas de souffle, ni de buzz.
Les moins : cher quand même mais il les vaut, volume sonore relativement peu élevé et un petit plop à l'allumage pas qualitatif.

1A als "Luxus-Übungs-Amp"

Gesucht wurde ein kleiner Amp mit sehr gutem Sound zum Üben in den eigenen vier Wänden.

Dies habe ich nachdem ich verschiedene andere Amps getestet habe - u. a. Warwick - Blackstar - gefunden.
Preislich an der maximalen Obergrenze, aber der Kauf hat sich bisher gelohnt!

Pro:
+ Sound, für die größe des Amps hervorragende Bass-Wiedergabe
+ "Größe" bzw. eher das kleine Format
+ Verarbeitung
+ 4 Jahre Garantie Verlängerung bei Warwick möglich

Contra:
- Preis
- Blauzahn wäre zur Smartphone Anbindung praktisch, Aux-In reicht mir aktuell aber (so lange mein Telefon noch einen Aux-Stecker hat)
